Two young giants seek to clear their names for a crime they did not commit.

Two giant siblings, Lacy and Maerk StormChaser, live at the bottom of the social ladder in the giant village of StoneHold. With their mother aving died two years earlier from the ShakingFlu and their father bedridden, the brother and sister are forced to live in poverty, every day a cold lesson of despair as they search the many tunnels and caves of the GreatCavern, hoping to find and collect the webs of the deadly SilkSpiders, or harvest a vein of GlowStone, or discovering anything they can trade for food. They were at rock bottom.

But one day, during the party celebrating the end of the LongNight, the two giants become entangled in a crime of epic proportions. A pair of scavengers with the help of an exiled giant, called a Forgotten, steal the most treasured heirloom of StoneHold, the TruthStone, and implicate the impoverished brother and sister in the crime. Knowing giants of the GrandCouncil would never believe the claims of innocence from two poor giants, Lacy and Jayson set off after the thieves in hopes of clearing their names and avoiding exile, or worse.

As they chase the scavengers and Forgotten through the dark passages and forgotten caverns, Lacy and her companions will learn the scavenger’s true intentions. They plan something much worse than just a simple theft, and their scheme could kill everyone in StoneHold.
