Chapter 1: The Destruction of the Village

It was the Monster Lord himself, Salaburn. Gameknight999 shook his head in disbelief as he realized how large the demonic leader really was. Kane, his new friend that he met in an Abandoned Mine, just stood there, shivering. The two companions were like a ruined portal and the salamander opposing them would be, in comparison, a whole Nether Fortress. “F…F…FINALLY! I CAN DEFEAT YOU LIKE THE PUNY COWARD YOU TRULY ARE!” Salaburn cackled, his bellowing voice echoing around the alleyway.

Suddenly, the darkened ingot that Gameknight had seen before started to rapidly multiply, until there was nearly a stack of the haunting metal. The ingots started to magically form into one massive set of armour the colour of the void. Darkness began to encase the world around them, until the whole world was barely visible, and even the sun looked like it wasn’t there at all. The only bright object was the Monster Lord’s body, lighting up the town with the colour of the lava seeping from his soul. “I AM THE RULER OF THIS LAND, AND THE BRIGHTEST PERSON IN EXISTENCE! AND YOU, USER-THAT-IS-NOT-A-USER, WILL BE THE FIRST ONE TO BE ERASED FROM MY NEW KINGDOM!” The Monster Lord screamed in a fiendish mix of victory and hatred. Drawing his enchanted Golden Sword, Gameknight took charge of the situation and ran toward the monster, slashing it’s flaming body with all of his strength. The monster retaliated with a yell of agony, and summoned a fireball the size of the house behind the two heroes and, using his immense power over fire, he hurled it at The-User-That-Is-Not-A-User with all of his hatred and fury focused on wiping Gameknight from existence. Kane managed to get a few hits with his enchanted bow Hunter gave him, but yelled to the villagers and Gameknight to run when he saw the fireball streak towards them. Most of the town’s citizens managed to escape the fiery inferno but sadly the rest of them perished in the dreaded wiping out of Shontaka Village. Gameknight and Kane just manage to avoid certain death by riding a nearby horse to safety, missing the edge of the ball of flames by only a few blocks. “Are…are we actually still alive?” Kane muttered to his partially dazed companion. “Yes…yes Kane we are, but only just”.
