How Annoying Villager No. 78 Is
By ThunderBolt832
Hello! I am Villager No. 27, and it is I who has written this epic story. Please do not comment, or thumbs down it, because I will not like that.
Villager No. 78 woke up. It was morning.
“Ah!” He said. “Time for another boring day in the village.”
Sitting up, he banged his head on the bookshelf above him. “Ow!” He cried, “Who put that bookshelf there!?”
Yawning, he got out of bed and went to the window. “Ooooohhh!” He said excitedly. “It has snowed! Yay!”
Opening the door, he ran out into the snow and tripped over Villager No. 364, who was trying to build a snow-golem.
“Ow!” Villager No. 78 cried. “What were you doing there?”
Villager No. 364 sat up. “Oh, I’m so sorry. I don’t know what I was doing there.” He said apologetically, then moved several blocks away and began to build another snow-golem in front of the next doorway.
Getting to his feet, he ran down the path, and saw a group of baby villagers having a snowball fight. “Yay!” He cried, and rushed over to join them. “I like snowballs!”
Instantly all the children turned to face him, and began to pelt him with snowballs.
“Ah!” He cried, and turned around and hurried away. “Stop it!”
When he was out of reach, he looked back at them in annoyance. “I’ll teach them to snowball me!” He muttered, then picked up a snowball and threw it back at them.
“Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!!” He cried, and ran down the street as fast as he could go, with a group of baby villagers following close behind, showering him with snowballs.
Several minutes later, he peeked out from behind a house, and noted thankfully that they had disappeared. “Phew.” He muttered again.
Cautiously peering out, he began to walk down the street, but a hail of snowballs caught him in the back, knocking him to the ground.
“Grrrrr!!!” He growled, then hurried quickly away into his house, locking the door firmly behind him.
“Ooooohh!” He said excitedly as an idea suddenly popped into his head. “I know what I’ll do!”
Maybe half an hour later, a figure greatly resembling Santa stepped out of Villager No. 78’s house and began to walk down the path.
Suddenly another villager, Villager No. 69, jumped out from behind a tree and shouted: “Boo!”
Villager No. 78 (Santa) jumped, and almost dropped his bag of presents. “Ah! You scared me!”
Villager No. 69 nodded. “I know.”
Suddenly he narrowed his eyes and stared at Villager No. 78. “And who might you be?” He asked cautiously.
“Uhhhh,” said Villager No. 78, “I’m Villager No. 78—I mean I’m Santa! Ho ho ho!”
Villager No. 69 narrowed his eyes even more. “It’s not christmas yet, is it?”
Villager No. 78 backed away a few steps. “Um…actually, the village is having christmas early this year. I think!”
Villager No. 69’s eyes opened wide. “Yay! I’ll go tell everyone! Yay!”
Turning around, he ran down the path, shouting: “Christmas! Christmas!”
A few minutes later, all the villagers had gathered around No. Villager 78, all begging him for presents.
“Presents! I want presents!” Cried a small baby villager, one of the snowball culprits.
“Santa, why do you have such a big nose? And why aren’t you fat?”
“Can we have presents now?”
“Where’s your sleigh?”
Villager No. 78 slowly backed away. “I’ll be back,” he said hurriedly, then bolted down the gap between two houses, only to be stopped by the two iron golems that patrolled the village. “Presents!” They boomed, their large noses twitching with excitement.
Narrowly ducking between them, he bolted out down the path and into the forest, with a screaming crowd of villagers following close behind.
Turning a corner, he ran into someone and fell to the ground. “Ow!” He cried.
Looking up, he saw a tall villager standing above him, a red fluffy hat sitting on his head, a white beard sprouting from his nose, and a red and white coat wrapped around his body.
“Hello!” Shouted the villager. “I’m Santa!”
Villager No. 78 lifted an eyebrow. “Why are you here now?” He asked.
Santa (Villager No. 12) shrugged. “They told me it was christmas time, so I packed up my presents and came straight here!”
Suddenly his eyes narrowed. “Who are you?” He asked.
Villager No. 78 backed away a step or two. “I’m Villager 7—I’m Santa!”
A huge sound of scuffling and running came from the path behind them and the large group of villagers came pouring round it, gleeful expressions on their joyful faces. “Christmas!” They were all shouting, but stopped when they saw the two Santas.
“I’m Santa!” Shouted Santa (Villager No. 12).
Villager No. 78 shook his head vigorously. “No, I’m Santa!”
“No, I am!” Shouted Santa.
“No, I am!” Shouted Villager No. 78.
“No!!! I am Santa!” Yelled Santa, and hit Villager No. 78.
“Ow!” Shouted Villager 78, and then saw something white on the snowy path they stood on. It was his beard.
A gasp went through the group of villagers that stood there watching them, and just then, the two iron golems marched up, grim expressions on their grey faces.
“You in big trouble now!” Rumbled the first.
“How should we punish him?” Boomed the other.
The group of baby villagers instantly ran forward and began to pelt him with snowballs. “Snowballs!” They shouted.
Reaching forward with a long arm, the first iron golem picked up Villager 78, knocked the red and white hat to the ground, and stepped on it.
“The pit of death!” The other villagers chanted over and over again, then made way for the two iron golems as they marched through the crowd.
The End.
