Slash Bloodclaw, Chapter 2

“SAM!” his mom yelled. “You didn’t take out the trash!” his mom said to him. Sam sighed and logged off Minecraft. He had just generated a new world and spawned in a jungle. A few minutes later he was back on and playing on this jungle world. He ran around for a bit, collecting wood, looking for villages, those kinds of things, when he remembered that he had promised his new Youtube channel a livestream today. He had gotten permission a few weeks ago to start a Youtube channel on his birthday, which was yesterday. He only had 10 subscribers so far, but he hoped to grow that today. He started the livestream and started playing. He mined, went to the Nether, and after about an hour he was battling the ender dragon. After he defeated the Ender Dragon he  logged off, thanked the 150 people watching, and ended the stream. He was home alone that night, because his mom was working, when he heard the doorbell ring. He opened the door and saw an Amazon package with a letter taped to it. The letter wrote:

“For Sam. Please use with caution.
     Happy late birthday, From ______”

“Who sent this?” Sam wondered aloud. There was nothing where the name should be except for a line, almost like Sam wasn’t supposed to know who sent it. Weird. He opened the package and his eyes were greeted with the sight of a clunky looking square that looked like it was meant to be plugged into his computer. Sam walking into his gaming room and plugged it into his computer.
As soon as he plugged it into the computer the screen lit up with Sam’s jungle Minecraft world, except he had nothing in his inventory. “Wait… What?!? I lost all my stuff, including the ender dragon egg?!? Oh come on!” Sam yelled at the computer. He slammed his hand against the desk and was reaching for the square inserted in his computer when he noticed that two oak signs with buttons above them had appeared in front of his avatar, a creeper t-shirt with a Minecraft classic Steve face and goggles with Sam’s gamertag, Sam-i-am797, hovering over his head. He looked at the signs. “Those weren’t there a second ago. What kinda glitch is this?” He read the signs aloud to himself. “The first sign says: Reality mode, click button to enable; and the second sign says: Reload all game progress and get past inventory back, click button to enable.” Sam went to click the Reload progress button but at that moment his cat decided to jump on Sam’s lap and rub against his elbow. “ACCCCKKK!” Sam yelled when his computer mouse swerved and clicked the reality mode instead. For a moment, nothing happened. The room was quiet. Then Sam began to feel a tingling in his chest, an ache in his forehead, a pain in his toes, and a stiffness in his legs as things started to get fuzzy around him. Sam swayed and looked down. What he saw made him past out.

Sam’s body was made of blocks.
