Chapter one

The villagers ran in terror as the forest fire spread quickly. Gameknight ran as fast as he could as they raced towards the village. Suddenly  a cry of pain came from behind looking back Gameknight saw Herder fell to the ground his smock and hair on fire. “Herder!” He yelled, alarmed. Herder lay motionless on the ground his smock still burning. Thinking quick he pulled a bucket of water and dumped it on him. It extinguished the flames and he picked the young boy up and ran. When they reached the village he carefully layed Herder on the ground. “Crafter.” He cried. Crafter ran over and gasped. Herders smock was burnt to a crisp, his hair had been singed off only a few strands weren’t burnt. Healer walked over and took him to the crafting chamber. A little bit later Healer called them in and relayed the bad news. “He has burn marks covering his whole torso.” He said. Herder groaned slightly. “Let me see.” Gameknight commanded. Healer took the cloth off and what Gameknight and Crafter saw made them gasp. The boys torso was black and flaky, embers  still glowed. Herder groaned again this time filled with agony. “Herder are you okay?” He asked. The boy  groaned in response  but this time with agony and pain. Gameknight felt the boys stomach nothing, until he came across the N.P.C.s intestines  , they felt wrong. “He may have internal injuries and those are usually fatal.” Gameknight said, voice edged with fear. Crafter nodded his face creased with worry. Herder slowly opened his eyes. “Gameknight.” He said, then groaned. He rubbed his stomach slightly before laying back down. His eyes slowly closed and he fell asleep in peace.

Chapter two

Fisher kicked a stone roughly and growled, when he had first arrived at the village he had gotten all the attention Then this weird Herder kid who cared more about animals then people got all the attention after being burned. “I hate Herder.” He growled. He stalked down to the crafting chamber and pulled a potion of poison from his inventory, he slunk into Herder’s small room and dropped the slightest bit of poison into the bottle of water. He then slunk away.

Chapter three

Herder was getting worse. Gameknight tried to comfort him but the young boy was usually to fatigued. One night he checked on Herder to see him flash red, groan and then fall silent. Herder awoke, his stomach hurting. “Gameknight.” He said in a horse voice. He took a sip of the water groaned and called Gameknight again. “Yes?” He replied. “My stomach hurts.” Gameknight looked worried and Herder felt like he was hiding something. Then Gameknight said for him to go outside for a little bit. Herder walked outside and smiled, fresh air felt good. Then Fisher walked over. “Hey Fisher. “ Herder said. Fisher walked up to Herder and smiled. “Let me show you something, it’s between these houses.” Fisher smiled, Herder was such an idiot he trusted Fisher. As they made their way between the houses Fisher spun and smiled evilly. Herder looked confused. Fisher saw Herder’s waist was exposed. He pulled out metal rod and smashed it into Herder’s stomach. Herder fell to the ground groaning too weak to cry out. “That’s for stealing my attention, and this… Fisher kicked him in the crotch, is for… well… nothing in particular. And then he walked away. Herder’s vision blurred and his eyes closed. He woke up in the alley way. “How did I get hear?” He wonder. He walked back to the crafting chamber he slumped on the bed and fell asleep.

Chapter four

Herder stretched his legs and arms. “Hi Fisher.” He said, he didn’t remember what had takin place a few days ago In the alley. “Hey.”  he said. Fisher ran out of Herder’s view and climbed the watch tower. He set his fishing rod up to where it wouldn’t fall and waited when Herder came near he caught him on the line and reeled him to the spot right under the lookout. Herder never saw who it was. “Help.” He screamed. Stitcher and Hunter saw him and ran to help. “How did you manage this?” Hunter asked. Stitcher punched her in the arm. “Ow.” She grumbled. When Herder was back on solid ground he was speechless. Suddenly he felt a shoot of pain in his stomach. He leaned over and fell to the ground breathing hard. “Are you okay?” Hunter asked. Herder gasped, shook his head and grunted in pain. Herder slipped into unconsciousness as Hunter ran to get Gameknight.
