I jump out of bed, startled by the dream I just had. Reaching into my inventory I notice that my pockets are completely empty. I head over to my chest to grab two sticks and three irons then walking to my crafting table to make an axe. As I place the items in the right slots they join together to create the tool that I desire.

Stepping outside, I breathe in the salty air glad that what just happened was only a dream… a very clear dream. I then shake the thought away and I go off to do my daily chores. After feeding my animals and tending to my farm, I head to the forest at the center of the island to collect wood. I find that one tree had already fallen to the ground but I ignore it and I cut down other trees.

Once I finished planting saplings so that there are more trees for future times I turn and walk home when I suddenly get a strange feeling. I’m frozen, not sure why I can’t move, that is until I turn my head to the left and see a cave entrance in the side of the hill. I have never been in that cave before, so why do I feel like I know it so well?  As I look into the dark abyss I instantly feel a sharp pain piercing my back.

I welp in pain reaching behind my back to find… nothing there? I realize that I am ok and that I am still alive, but at the same time it felt so real. I begin to think, How could it feel so real and not be real at the same time? In a moment, I realize that the sun is going down and that night will soon follow. I brush off the phantom pains and start running to my beach house.

I reach my house at the same time the sun disappears behind the horizon. I lay on my bed, unable to sleep, thinking of the dark cave and the pain in my back. I soon decided that I will not be able to sleep unless I investigate the cave. I walk over to my crafting table and craft an iron pickaxe, a diamond sword, bow and arrows, and anything else I might need for the cave. I then drop back into bed to get some rest before the big day tomorrow.

Note from author: Hi guys, I hope you all enjoyed the first part of The Lucid Dream. Part two will be released as soon as possible. This is probably one of the first  times I showed a story of mine to someone not in my family so I hope you all loved it.
