The Hank the Cowdog series is hilarious. In it, you have a Cowdog who is the Head of Ranch Security, and he goes through all sorts of hilarious adventures with his assistant, a white cowardly mutt. He torments the lady of the ranch, plays with her little boy, daily attacks the cat, scatters the chickens, falls in love with the dog on the next ranch, then turns around and falls in love with the daughter of a chief of coyotes. Hank the Cowdog is a hilarious series to remember. These books are great, I would recommend these books to all kids, ages 5 to 50.
We read the book as a class in fifth grade and the whole class loved it is was one of my favorites that we read as a class.
