the dragon’s army and the fairies

Once upon a time there was a dragon who lived in the forest and he had an army. That was feared by all. The army was of foxes, bears, snakes,  wolves, and lions. The leader, of course, was the dragon. The fairies also lived in the forest. They lived in a tree that was hollow. They made it like home using their magic. One day the dragon sent his snakes to get the fairies. When the snakes arrived at the tree, they used their fangs to break the windows. Then they slithered inside and wrapped around the fairies who cried out, ”help.’’ There was a big fight. 

The snakes grabbed every fairy they saw. The fairy queen and the fairies were fighting well, but once the snake fangs narrowly missed a young fairy. She screamed and the fairies began spreading out in the many rooms. A  group of fairies were screaming at  Mia, a fairy who was mostly in charge, when the fairy queen was not there. Mia was someone you could trust but not someone you should cross. She Was telling the other fairies what they should do. The snakes could hear them. 

“Use your water,” Mia yelled. 

Sky, a fairy who was covered in a gown of flowing water,  listened to Mia because she was so beautiful. Then the remaining fairies noticed that about half the fairies were gone including the fairy queen. 

‘’What do we do?” asked a fairy who had been fighting with Mia, the one who was beautiful. 

“Come on, fairies,” said Mia, “let’s go find the dragon.” 

Back at the dragon’s lair the dragon looked the fairies up and down. Then he did the same for the snakes, then he started complaining. 

‘’You were all so late, you are dirty, and the fairies look like they are not alive’’. 

‘’We are alive,” said the fairy queen. 

‘’Then what do I want you for?’’ the dragon tested. 

‘’We don’t know,’’ the fairy queen said. 

The dragon looked at the snakes. ‘’Why did you not tell them?’’ said the dragon.

 ‘’We are sorry,’’ said one snake. “The fairies wanted to fight.” 

“Then you should not have fought back,” said the dragon. Then he turned to the fairies, ‘’I want you here to ask for your powers.’’ 

“What do you want with our powers?” said the fairy queen 

“So, I can build more of an army then I have and to build myself a home.”

“ We will not give you our powers but we will build you a house.”

 “No!” said the dragon and he got so angry he blew a jet of fire at his army. And when he was done, his army was gone. Then he turned to the fairies and he was about to blow another jet of fire when he heard a shout. It was the remaining fairies, Mia and another fairy called Goosey Goose and another fairy called Flame, who Goosey Goose called Flee. Flame’s body was actually on fire and he was holding a ball of fire in his hand that he could throw. The fairy called Sky and a fairy called Cor, who was the youngest, and a fairy called Tange with a gown of flowing honey and actual bees around her. 

‘’We’re in the lead. Don’t hurt a single fairy!’’ said Mia. 

‘’And I would just like to see you try and stop me,’’ snarled the dragon, ‘’But I guess you can go.’’

 The fairies cheered to have their fairy queen back. ‘’Are you sure you don’t want our help,’’ said the fairy  queen

 ‘’Of course I don’t  need your help,’’ said the dragon. ‘’I am a dragon and I can survive on my own.’’

 So the fairy queen and the fairies left for their tree which was mostly destroyed and started rebuilding it. When it was done the fairies went to bed. The next day the dragon came back looking weak. The fairies  got their wands and a ball of fire  appeared in Flame’s hands. 

‘’What do you want to say to the fairy queen?’’he said.

‘’To ask for her help,’’ said the dragon. ‘’I can not survive without my army. They brought  me things to keep  me strong, so,’’ said the dragon, will you help me fairy queen? did you know the fairy queen said that Flame, Mia, Sky, Cor, Tange, Goosey goose and me together we made the fairy reunion so no. ‘’Please!
