Gameknight999 and the Nether Update

Gameknight999 logged into Minecraft as fast as he could. Yesterday, the Nether Update, or 1.16 had come out. He couldn’t wait to show his friends.

Loading the server, Gameknight checked to make sure the digitiser was working, and glanced back at the computer, seeing that it was loaded.

Checking his hidey hole, he picked up his swords, as well as armor and other supplies, and began to make his way to Crafter’s village.

The first thing he saw was the cobblestone wall, soon followed by his obsidian castle. Sprinting toward it, he was let into by the sentries.

“Gameknight999 is here!” They shouted.

Smiling, the User-That-Is-Not-A-User made his way into the village.

“Gameknight!” Topper yelled, running out to meet Gameknight, with Filler close behind. They embraced Gameknight tightly. Hunter and Stitcher came out from Castle Gameknight and casually walked towards him.

Gameknight smiled at his friends before saying, “Hunter, Stitcher, Herder, and Crafter! I have something great to show you!”

Reaching into his inventory, he pulled out some obsidian, and placed it into the form of a Nether portal. Lighting it with flint and steel, he motioned for his friends to follow, then stepped in.

Emerging into the Nether, Gameknight looked around him with awe. The portal had taken him into a Soul Sand Valley, and it was even more ethereal in person. Everywhere he looked, the blue colored Soul Fire replaced the normal orange flames.

A ghast floated above him, and spat out a fireball. Waiting until the perfect moment, Gameknight batted the fireball back at the ghast, destroying the mob.

Soon his friends came through the portal, and looked disbelievingly at their surroundings. Looking around, Gameknight saw a Crimson Forest biome, and led the villagers toward it.

He handed out golden boots to all his friends, and they sprinted into the forest. Gameknight looked for the native Piglins and Hoglins that should have been roaming the biome.

Then he saw a gathering of them crowded around a ghast that was hovering low in the air. Creeping closer, he tried to see what they were doing.

He saw Hunter aiming her bow at the monsters, but he looked her in her square eyes, and shook his head.

Hunter looked reluctant, but Stitcher grabbed her arm and held it still. Gameknight could hear the ghast saying that “The monsters have been suppressed by the villagers for too long,” and that it was “Time for rebellion.”

He grabbed his friends, and hastily whispered to them, “We need to go. Now.”

They sprinted away just as the ghast caught sight of them.

“Monsters, attack!” He ordered, and the mobs began to chase after them.

They sprinted as fast as they could but soon the monsters caught up to them. Gameknight drew his swords, and sprinted among the mobs, using a hit and run tactic. His swords became instruments of great destruction as they cleaved through the monster hoard. Grabbing his friends he threw himself into the portal, transporting him back to the Overworld.

The last he saw of the Nether was the ghast flying away to create a new army.
